Purpose:

The Crisis Support Staff of Hatchet Bearers exists to provide immediate, expert support and intervention during critical situations faced by our clients. In emergencies—whether operational, reputational, or existential—the Staff is called to act with speed, discipline, and precision, relieving burdens and ensuring safety, stability, and recovery. Drawing from elements of elite protective services (such as the Secret Service Counter Assault Team and US Marshals’ SOG), the Crisis Response Staff is about more than reaction—it’s about readiness: being prepared, appropriately equipped, and mentally conditioned to face high-risk crises and guide clients through them.

1. Intelligence & Reconnaissance Division (IRD)

“Eyes & Ears”
The IRD gathers and analyzes critical intelligence to detect emerging threats before they escalate. From field surveillance to cyber monitoring, this division ensures our teams and clients always have a clear, real-time picture of risk.

2. Strategic Protection & Advisory Group (SPA-G)

SPA-G focuses on prevention and preparedness. By designing risk management plans, resilience strategies, and training programs, this group builds client readiness long before a crisis occurs.

3. Crisis Support Staff (CSS)

When a crisis strikes, CSS is the first in. This rapid deployment team responds with precision and discipline to stabilize emergencies, neutralize threats, and guide recovery.

  • Core Functions: Rapid response, tactical operations, recovery and transition support.
  • Outputs: Crisis containment, stabilization, and recovery leadership.

Mental & Fitness Requirements

Hatchet Bearers Crisis Support Staff (CSS) hold themselves to the highest standards of performance. Members are expected to demonstrate exceptional physical readiness and mental resilience.

Fitness Standards

  • Endurance: 5-mile run in under 40 minutes; 1.5-mile run under 12:30.
  • Strength: Minimum 45 push-ups and sit-ups in one minute; 6 strict pull-ups.
  • Core Stability: Plank hold for at least 2:30 minutes.
  • Load Carriage: 12-mile ruck march with 35 lbs in under 3 hours.
  • Operational Movement: Ability to sprint, climb, crawl, drag, and carry loads under stress.

Mental Requirements

  • Stress Tolerance: Perform effectively with limited sleep and under adverse conditions.
  • Decision-Making: Rapid, sound judgment with incomplete or high-pressure information.
  • Self-Discipline: Emotional control, integrity, and accountability at all times.
  • Teamwork & Leadership: Operate as both a reliable team member and capable leader.
  • Mental Toughness: Resilience, adaptability, and perseverance through fatigue and adversity.
  • Psychological Screening: Must pass evaluation ensuring stability, ethical conduct, and readiness.
